Bedside Table
This was a simple table I built for a dear friend. Her bed was
tall and she wanted a table that could meet that height, with a
drawer to hold some books and a few necessary items. I had built
a country kitchen of Chinquapin wood that summer, and I had one
very special board left over from that job. It didn't look like
the other wood. It had intense color, grain pattern, and figure.
So I made it into veneer and the result was this table. Notice how
the flitches mirror each other and how the grain wraps around the
corners.
